EUGENE, Ore. - Greenhill Humane Society is looking for volunteers to help out with their foster program.

On Sunday, they hosted their first annual "Fosterpalooza" at the Eugene Public Library.

Foster families were on hand to talk about their experiences fostering animals.

Greenhill's foster care program places cats, dogs and small animals who are too young to be in the shelter, need to be socialized or who are recovering from surgery into temporary homes of volunteers for weeks at a time.

Greenhill?said people should?evaluate their lifestyles and know ahead of time if?they have the time to commit to taking care of the animal.

And if?they have other animals in the home, consult a vet to make sure it's a good idea.
